DAY 16 – ESPERANCE – CAPE LE GRAND NATIONAL PARK

What a great day. The national park about 50 kms north of Esperance is grand by name and grand by nature.

It reminded us very much of Girraween, but by the sea with crystal clear water and pure white sand.

It has its equivalent of The Pyramid which we walked up to enjoy the spectacular views of the park. Look at the cars in the bottom of the picture to get an idea of its height – 260 metres.

Not surprisingly, the weather is a little cooler here but perfect for national park walking and climbing.

Tomorrow we head for Albany for several days and then on to Margaret River.

The flora and fauna is impressive. I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
